About Me

My interest in massage and bodywork began in the mid-1970s. Through the years, this initial study has grown into a busy practice and my genuine belief in the enormous value of the bodywork that I provide.

In 1986, after completing the coursework and practicum at Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, I received my state licenses in both Oregon and Washington.

The following year, I opened a successful day spa in downtown Poulsbo, Washington that I owned and operated for over 13 years.  During this time I became interested in the more clinical aspects of bodywork and was introduced to Rolfing®.

In 2000, I sold the Olympic Spa & Massage in order to complete the Basic Training program at the Guild for Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado. I had the opportunity to train with Ida Rolf’s original teachers, Peter Melchoir and Emmet Hutchins.

In 2006 I achieved Advanced Certification in the Rolf Method of Structural Integration.

For more than thirty years, I have maintained my desire to continually learn new methods and approaches to my work. These additional training hours of education go far beyond the necessary units to comply with my state and organizational requirements.
